June 5, World Environment Day - Theme, Biodiversity!. I soiled my hand today for promoting local biodiversity. How about you? Plant a sapling of native variety today and post ur pic along with that sapling and tag me in that post. I will share it in my story. Let's celebrate biodiversity today. As a part of plantation drive planted native species like sissoo, neem, mango, peepal with the help of district authorities and public representatives. If you are in your home, plant a sapling. Call your range officer from forest department or dfo office to get access to free saplings from forest nursery. Get local varieites. U can easily get ur dfo or Ranger number through Forest Department website of ur District. Avoid crotons and non native species. Ask ur parents or grand parents or the forest department about the availability of local species of ur area. Local species helps to promote biodiversity native to the region. Remember, Great Indian bustard feeds on Desert locusts. Nw, GIB are in near extinction and locusts swarms threatening our food security. The day has come!. Not to show off but to remind me everyday the responsibility attached to the service I belong to and the post I hold. Those three letters behind my name is not just a suffix but a responsibility towards mother nature, my country and my people. By clearing an exam one can get that suffix but to be worth enough to have it, one needs to work hard. So many lessons. Still we didn't learn anything. We deserve!. She trusted us, she never had history of harming us, she didn't ransacked even after you crushed her baby.
